Account inactivity

Accounts close after 7 days without a trade.

Updated August 23, 2026

An account with no trading activity for 7 days is closed.

  • A single trade resets the counter
  • This applies to evaluation and funded accounts alike

If your account is closed

A closed evaluation account can be reset at the normal reset price instead of being repurchased. A closed funded account requires starting again with a new evaluation.

Waiting for a payout window

Waiting for a payout window does not pause the counter. If you are eligible and waiting for the 5th or the 20th, place at least one trade inside every seven days.

Going away for a while

If you know you will be away, tell us before you go, not after you come back. We can usually note it on the account.

The 7 days is calendar days

Weekend days and market holidays count toward the 7 day limit. The inactivity clock runs continuously from the time your last trade closes.
