Holiday trading hours
Early closes, the flat time on a shortened day, and the dates for the rest of the year.
Updated August 31, 2026
On a public holiday the CME either closes for the day or ends the session early. When it ends early, your flat time moves with it: be flat 15 minutes before the early close instead of 4:45 PM ET.
Everything else works exactly as it does on a normal day. Anything still open at the cutoff is closed automatically, and the result counts toward your balance and your drawdown.
The rule is the same on every program and every account size, evaluation and funded alike.

⚠️ Holiday hours are set by the exchange and can change. Always confirm against the CME holiday calendar when you are planning trades around one of these days.
When two calendar days count as one
On some holidays the CME does not treat each calendar day as its own session. It merges them, so a Sunday evening open through to a Tuesday afternoon close can be a single trading day.
That has three consequences on a Lumen account:
- Your balance is marked once. The end of day drawdown line moves at the end of the merged session, not once per calendar day inside it
- It is one winning day, not two. Winning days are counted per trading day, so a strong Monday and a strong Tuesday inside the same session still add one to your five
- Nothing locks you out mid-session. There is no daily loss limit on any program we sell, so a merged session cannot end your day early the way it does at a firm that has one
